About Kevin Newell

The Rev. Kevin Newell has a Master in Divinity Degree from Virginia Theological Seminary (Alexandria, VA), a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin (Eau Claire).  Fr. Kevin was called to serve as Priest-in-Charge of Emmanuel Episcopal Church at Brook Hill (Richmond, VA) in June 2022. He most recently served as a Chaplain and Religion Teacher at St. Catherine’s School for Girls in Richmond, VA. Before his call to the priesthood he worked in classical music, education, and administration. Fr. Kevin lives in Richmond, VA, with his husband Joshua Borths, an educator.
